On January 19, 2026, I was proud to accept the 2026 Drum Major Award at the MLK, Jr. Memorial Breakfast. The Breakfast Committee chose me for this recognition, as acknowledgment of my contributions in the fields of architecture and urban planning in Greater Boston.
I am pleased and humbled by this honor. The MLK, Jr. Memorial Breakfast, has, for 56 years, brought together hundreds of attendees with the shared goal of advancing Dr. King’s message of social justice and community building. This year’s keynote speaker, Nikole Hannah-Jones, is someone I greatly admire and respect. The opportunity to meet her was a true privilege.
In these times, it is encouraging to see Dr. King’s legacy so vibrantly celebrated through this event – the nation’s longest-running breakfast celebration. As I accepted the Drum Major Award, I was honoring not only Dr. King but also Stull + Lee, Inc.’s heritage of excellence, ethics, and decency.
