BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
Ruggles Street Station is one of the largest and most complex transit stations on the Southwest Corridor, accommodating 16 bus lines, rapid transit, AMTRAK and commuter rail service. Located on the largest single development parcel within the Southwest Transit Corridor, the station was designed to reinforce existing and future pedestrian movements, facilitate joint development and meet the complicated requirements of a multi-modal terminus.
The Station, marked by its distinctive barrel vault, serves as a new front door to Northeastern University and is a vital link to the adjacent community. It has also stimulated considerable transit-oriented development in the neighborhood.
