Ruggles Street Station, one of the largest and most complex transit stations in the Southwest Corridor, had always lacked a commuter rail platform for inbound passengers. Stull and Lee, as part of a multi-disciplinary team was tasked with the planning and design of this complex addition, which necessitated demolition of an existing retaining wall and locating a new platform on top of it. The platform includes new glass canopies at each end, along with lighting, furniture, signage, ramps and pedestrian barriers.
