BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
This 10-level, 950 car parking structure is a continuation of the master plan for a mixed-use complex that is the “gateway” to the southern edge of the Northeastern University campus.
The ultimate build-out will include offices, a conference center and hotel.
The design utilizes a palette of masonry, precast concrete panels and an aluminum panel and grill system, articulated to form the base, body, and cornice of the building.
These elements visually reduce the perceived mass of this large structure, especially at the pedestrian level. The main volume is bracketed by glass and metal panel stair towers which provide transparency and visual animation day and night.
