A national, non-profit development company commissioned Stull and Lee to develop a master planning framework and urban plan for several city blocks west of downtown Cincinnati. The resulting project, Lincoln Court, included development of residential typologies, and concept and final design of individual building prototypes, street walls and streetscapes. A root cause for the failure of many urban environments has been the denial of historic patterns of urban development. In envisioning transformation of this once- proud Cincinnati neighborhood into a vibrant new community, Stull and Lee looked to the most common characteristics of its historic urban patterns the streetscape and the uses that dot its edges. These typologies of urban plan and street edging building types became the guiding framework for the work.
